
The Hekima Fellowship

Mentorship
The Hekima Fellowship is a rigorous 4-year program that selects 5-10 ambitious African immigrants in their last year of high school planning to attend college. Applicants can be from any major. Each student will get access to one-on-one mentorship throughout college.

Scholarship
Upon acceptance in the fellowship, each selected fellow will receive $1,000 of Financial aid.

Connections
Fellows will be provided industry connections that would help them land meaningful internships and job opportunities.

Op-ed Writing Trainings
Fellows will receive professional writing and editorial trainings from our global partners +Perspectives.
Application criteria

Must be an African immigrant
The applicant to the Fellowship must be a first generation African immigrant.

Academic Performance
The applicant must demonstrate high academic performance and commitment to hard work and excellence.

Leadership skills
The applicant must submit a 500 word essay where he/she lists extracurricular activities and community services that he/she has been a part of.
