The Hekima Foundation’s mission is to help empower African immigrants to pursue a high quality education with financial assistance as well as mentorship.
The Hekima Fellowship program, created by our team, is a rigorous 4 year program that selects 5 to 10 of the most ambitious African immigrants in their last year of high school planning to attend college. Applicants can be from any major. Each student will be provided $1,000 of financial aid; a one-on-one mentorship throughout their college journey; and industry connections that would help them land meaningful internships and job opportunities.
The fundamental premises that led to the creation of Hekima Fellowship is to boost the diversity of the talent pool for employers—allowing to diminish income gaps across underprivileged communities.
